GlauCat 2023 International Scientific and Training Conference

The 4th International GlauCat Conference will be held on May 26-27, 2023 in Warsaw, which will gather several hundred ophthalmologists from Poland and abroad. Organized under the scientific patronage of the Clinic of prof. The Szaflika event is a valued forum for exchanging experiences and presenting medical innovations – with an emphasis on methods of treating glaucoma (GLAUcoma) and cataracts (CATaracta).

The conference program will traditionally include not only sessions and scientific discussions devoted to the title diseases, but also courses and training workshops. Special modules will also cover other eye diseases and methods of their treatment; An interdisciplinary session is also planned, during which topics at the intersection of ophthalmology and other fields of medicine will be discussed. The common denominator of all parts of the event is the focus on specific, interesting cases from medical practice.

The organizer of the 4th International Scientific and Training Conference GlauCat is the Department and Clinic of Ophthalmology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Warsaw in cooperation with the Eye Microsurgery Center “Laser” Clinic of prof. Jerzy Szaflik in Warsaw. The position of chairman of the Organizing Committee was taken by prof. Ph.D. n. med. Jerzy Szaflik, and the chairman of the Scientific Committee – prof. Ph.D. n. med. Jacek Szaflik. For years, they have been trying to exchange experiences in the ophthalmological community in the spirit of medical progress in this area and providing patients with modern, effective therapy.

The event was held under the honorary patronage of: the University of Warsaw and the Supreme Medical Chamber.
