Fluorescein and indocyanine angiography
Retinal vascular examination. After administering contrast dye into the vein and using special filters, we obtain information about the condition of the large and small retinal vessels, pigmented lesions, and tumors.
Before the examination, a doctor’s note confirming the suitability of contrast dye administration is required (confirmation of renal and liver function, and exclusion of any allergies). The patient should have eaten a light breakfast and taken any medications they take regularly.
The examination is performed after dilating the pupils. Driving should not be undertaken immediately after the examination.
